Knowledge-base sequence

  1. Create a knowledge base.
  2. Add text or URL sources.
  3. Wait for processing to complete.
  4. Inspect source status and errors.
  5. Attach the knowledge base to the intended voice agent.
  6. Test retrieval before publishing the agent.
Source ingestion can be asynchronous. A successful source-creation response means the source was accepted, not necessarily that retrieval is ready. Preserve the source ID and check its status.

Source changes

Treat restore, provider-update acceptance, and source deletion as explicit administrative operations. Do not delete the previous source until the replacement has been processed and reviewed.

Tools

Use the workspace catalog and agent-specific tool catalog to understand available capabilities. Test a tool with safe generated inputs before attaching it to a published agent. Custom HTTP tools can create external side effects; restrict their destination, inputs, and permissions.
