# Zapier, Make, n8n, and custom workers

> Patterns for connecting Sendora to automation platforms and background workers.

Store the Sendora API key in the platform's secret or credential store. Configure the base URL as `https://api.sendora.ai` and send the key as `X-API-Key`; never put it in a query parameter or browser-visible field.

## Safe automation pattern

```text theme={"dark"}
trigger → validate input → Sendora read → preview/draft → approval gate → commit → monitor job/webhook
```

Use preview endpoints for prospecting, preflight for campaigns, and draft states for voice agents. Keep production sends and calls behind an explicit approval step.

## Retries

Configure retries only for `429` and transient `5xx` responses. Honor `Retry-After`, use exponential backoff with jitter, and reuse an idempotency key when the endpoint supports one. Never automatically retry a launch, message, call, publish, plan change, or delete after an unknown timeout.

## Webhook-to-worker pattern

Verify the raw-body signature, deduplicate the event or delivery in durable storage, enqueue the work, and return `2xx` quickly. Keep the webhook handler independent from long-running enrichment, CRM, or analytics work.
